Ts. Dr. Nurul Muiz bin Murad is the Chief Executive Officer of the Malaysian Steel Institute (MSI), an agency under the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI). With over 24 years of experience in Malaysia and Australia, he is a distinguished professional in Environmental and Sustainable Development with a background in Mechanical Engineering. He holds both Bachelor’s and PhD degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Swinburne University, Melbourne.

Prior to his role at MSI, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Yayasan Hijau Malaysia under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability (NRES). His expertise spans renewable energy, energy efficiency, green building, biodiversity, climate change, and decarbonization. Recognized for his leadership in sustainability, he was featured by The Star as an Outstanding Malaysian Abroad (2009) and by Green Plus Magazine (2024). Dr. Muiz is also a certified GCPV Solar Professional (SEDA), Registered Energy Manager (Suruhanjaya Tenaga), and Green Building Facilitator with GBI and REHDA GreenRE.
