Dr. Md Yunus bin Ab Wahab is a highly experienced civil engineer with more than 35 years of expertise in pavement design, evaluation, and management systems for roads and airports. He holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from Oregon State University, USA, and has contributed to major infrastructure projects across Malaysia, as well as internationally in Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Pakistan, the UAE, South Korea, and the Maldives.

He is recognized for his specialization in non-destructive pavement testing using advanced methods such as Heavy Weight Deflectometer (HWD), Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), Multi-Laser Profilers, and drone-based mapping technologies. He was instrumental in developing Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad’s Airport Pavement Management System (APMS), which remains in operation today. Currently serving as Technical Advisor to PLUS Malaysia Berhad, Dr. Yunus continues to advance best practices in pavement engineering, geotechnical design, and infrastructure sustainability.
