
YBhg. Dato’ Prof. Ir. Dr. Ahmad Farhan Mohd Sadullah is the Vice Chancellor of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and a renowned transport studies expert with decades of experience in academic leadership, research, and national policy development. Prior to his appointment at UPM, he served as Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic and International) at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) from 2017 to 2021, and earlier as Dean of the School of Civil Engineering and Director of USM’s Engineering Campus.
He has also held several key national roles, including Director General of the Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS) from 2008 to 2011 and founding member of the Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD), where he later served as Interim Chairman. Widely recognized for his contributions to transport policy and road safety, Dato’ Prof. Farhan continues to champion innovation and sustainability in higher education, leading UPM’s strategic initiatives such as the Blueprint for Food Security and the PUTRA for Pertanian Untuk Rakyat (Agriculture for People) program.
